Welcome to the Historical Society of the Northern Territory Australia

The Historical Society of the Northern Territory Incorporated was founded in 1964. The Society, as the name suggests, is particularly concerned with Northern Territory history.

The Society is administered by an elected Council which is based in Darwin. Each year the Council seeks advice from members as to the activities they would like to see planned for that year. Interested members are encouraged to stand for election to Council.
