In 1937 famous aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart stopped in Darwin overnight with navigator Fred Noonan on the next leg of their round the world flight. They departed the next morning and disappeared into the Pacific, not to be seen again.
The Historical Society of the Northern Territory acknowledges the Larrakia people, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which History House stands, and acknowledges their continuing connection to land, sea, and community.
