Product Details

This book is all about Water Resources bush workers. During the 50s and 60s, these men could easily be regarded as our second wave of pioneers. They worked out bush for weeks and months at a time and had to be highly resourceful. These were the days before airconditioned trucks, hotel rooms, gas fridges and a cold beer – the very reason why rum was the preferred drink. Water Resources bush workers swam with crocs, made their own tracks and maps, named rivers and creeks and worked in isolated areas.
